The Litchfield County Times received a press release this morning from the Creative Arts Studio in Woodbury.  Immediately, when I saw the the photo attached to the release I could not pass up the opportunity to write something here on my blog.

Four-year-olds from the Creative Arts Studio in Woodbury recently visited the Woodbury Post Office. The children have been interested in the mail and have constructed a "house" with a "mailbox" in their classroom.  The children were curious about what happens to their letters once they leave the Creative Arts Studio so they were given the opportunity to see for themselves, according to the release.  Each child brought a letter that they had written to the Post Office.  They each puchased a stamp and mailed their letter.

Creative Arts Studio endorses the Reggio Emilia philosophy of early childhood education which allows for individual creativity as it promotes academic readiness and offers programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and kindergarteners. CAST is open year-round and also offers summer programs for children up to the age of 10.  CAST accepts rolling admissions based on availabilty.  Parents may obtain more information by calling Sue Champagne, Director of Admissions at 203-266-4392 or visiting the CAST Web site at http://www.castkids.com/.
